Last time there was a shortage I was in a gunshop that had display islands of ammo and components - mostly empty. I spotted a 8 lb can of Unique for something like $80. I bought a pound of it for $35 at a gunshow and I like it. 3.5 to 4.0 grains of BE-86 under a wadcutter works dandy in my .38 Specials. You might consider it if you can't find Unique. I think I might have $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ of powder on hand. With all the different powders I have Black and Smokeless. I don't think I will ever have to order powder again in my lifetime.
