Just a thought but are we going to meet up around the chuck wagon to discuss our attack on Clark's Station? Say Thursday or Friday evening.

Been thinking of that... Here is a place that is excellent.  https://legacykansasabilene.com/

It is within waking distance of the Holiday Inn motel in Abilene, Ks

A few folks have ate here before, when it was just the Brookville Hotel... Excellent food.   They serve it family style normally.  Think you have your choice of steak or fried chicken dinner.

It isn't cheap, and pretty sure they require reservations nowadays.   Let me know what you scoundrels think.

Well I will get a reservation list going.

CLASSIC COWBOY/ COWGIRL DINNER

WHERE: Legacy Kansas https://legacykansasabilene.com/

WHEN: May 3rd...  Friday 5pm

MEAL:  Pan Fried Chicken / Beef

(see link for more menu info)

I believe they serve everything family style, big ole bowls/plates of biscuits and others sides that are just passed around the table.  Great food and you will love the atmosphere!

Let me know how many and what meal you would like, as reservations are needed.

Looking at the menu I don't see Steak I see beef ground into patties and skillet cooked.  Here is a cut and paste of the menu:

Brookville Classic Skillet Fried Chicken

Chicken is cooked in regular seasoned flour. If you need a gluten-free option, we do offer baked chicken.

14oz Munson's Premium Angus Beef

The Munson beef is graded as Prime dry aged beef

1st Place Winner At The American Royal As The Country's Best-Tasting Beef.

Beef is ground, formed into 2 7oz patties, and cooked on a skillet seasoned with Kosher salt and fresh cracked black Tellicherry peppercorn.

Patties are topped with sauteed cremini mushrooms and onions.

On the side is a white steak cream sauce made from heavy whipping cream, grilled onions, garlic Worcestershire, Dijon mustard, and fresh cracked black Tellicherry peppercorn.

The Munson beef is graded as Prime dry-aged beef that took 1st place at the American Royal as the country’s best-tasting beef.

Hmmm I better call them.  For some reason I thought they did steaks.   Thanks for the info Scout... I will look into it some more.
