Say Thursday or Friday evening. Been thinking of that... Here is a place that is excellent. https://legacykansasabilene.com/ It is within waking distance of the Holiday Inn motel in Abilene, Ks A few folks have ate here before, when it was just the Brookville Hotel... Excellent food. They serve it family style normally. Think you have your choice of steak or fried chicken dinner. It isn't cheap, and pretty sure they require reservations nowadays. Let me know what you scoundrels think.

Here is a cut and paste of the menu: Brookville Classic Skillet Fried Chicken Chicken is cooked in regular seasoned flour. If you need a gluten-free option, we do offer baked chicken. 14oz Munson's Premium Angus Beef The Munson beef is graded as Prime dry aged beef 1st Place Winner At The American Royal As The Country's Best-Tasting Beef. Beef is ground, formed into 2 7oz patties, and cooked on a skillet seasoned with Kosher salt and fresh cracked black Tellicherry peppercorn. Patties are topped with sauteed cremini mushrooms and onions. On the side is a white steak cream sauce made from heavy whipping cream, grilled onions, garlic Worcestershire, Dijon mustard, and fresh cracked black Tellicherry peppercorn.
