Hacking Notice from Ballistic Products

Got a letter from reps for Ballistic Products advising that their server had been hacked.  Several other people I know have also received the letter.  Pretty scary. If you ordered anything from Ballistic between September 2020 and February 2022 the hackers have your name, address, credit card number, credit card expiration date and the credit card security code.

That might explain why I got a fraud notice from my credit card yesterday.   A couple of bad charges have been cancelled.  New card on the way.

My only purchase from them was in June, so hopefully I'm okay but will keep an eye out.  Thanks for the heads up.

My credit card company sent me a notice about some unusal charges.  They were not mine so they sent me a new credit card.

Yup, my credit card company contacted me about a suspicious charge. They declined the charge and are sending a replacement card.

I've used a lot of BPI products over the years but just picked them up in person at Grafs or MidwayUSA.

Why didn't they remove the CC info?

I, too, had a card that I had used with BP that got compromised.  Don't know if it was from that purchase or somewhere else.

 

Matthew, I don't think you had to save your card to their website for it to get compromised, just had to have used it with them.
