How Many Of You Think You See Him?

Another movie I did not appreciate until I became an adult.  Dad and mom took me (age 6) and sis (age 3) to watch it at the drive-in.  I kept wanting to see the rabbit and was mad when the movie ended this way.  Can’t remember what the second feature was.

I own the DVD now.  Tastes change with age you know.

I know.   But my mind insists that he slowly fades in.

You're not the only one, Joe...   :)

This part caught my attention in my early teens.

I do recall seeing Harvey at the end. I do believe there was a TV version made that Harvey does appear as they walk up the hill at the end.

The thing that bugged me about "Harvey" was that Harvey was a 6 foot tall rabbit. Jimmy Stewart is tall. I knew that he was tall, 6' 3",  when I  was a kid, yet throughout the movie he looks up at Harvey. If Harvey was 6' tall Jimmy would be looking straight ahead or even down a bit at him.

I seem to remember the ending this way too - a long time ago.

Check out this site for some information. We could be right.
