Loophole LaRue, SASS #51438
I know it was a different time, but seeing that makes a part of my heart ache. Sort of like the pictures of punters with hundreds of dead ducks and geese. LL

Trees don't tell tales about the years past.....the rings do. I'm sure that they had a tale to tell.

Badlands Bob #61228
I see a tree that size and I wonder what they used to drag it to the mill. It was 1891. Maybe they built the mill around the tree and worked on it in place. I also wonder if any of that lumber is still in use today. Perhaps in an old barn or house. That's a lot of board feet.
