Maybe the Ducks didn't count on having the ball run down their throat by the Buckeyes.

Oregon got it back to 1, OSU went to Elliot afterburner. Does Oregon have one more comeback in them?

Whoever wins this one is the true national champion, IMHO!!!

Well, even though I couldn't watch much of the game, I can say I am very pleased with the outcome. :D:D:D

The question was asked about what the over/under was on the number of drunk frat guys pepper sprayed by Columbus PD, though.

Two things made this a National Championship game worth watching.

1) No SEC team

2) and the best thing of all, no Brent Musburger!!!!!

Especially no Brent Musburger!

Happy for Urban and team. That Quarter back looks like a real handfull to stop.

His arm was not as accurate as the Heisman winner's but he got the job done

when it needed to be done.

I suspect that some of the Oregon front line and secondary are a bit sore this

morning. That battle in the trenches looked to be brutal. OSU's running backs

can not complain about the holes thay had to scramble through. I think Oregon

got beat on third down conversions. OSU made them, OU didn't.

No Brent Mussberger is okay by me.

I STILL say that none of the other top teams, including OSU could survive a season in the SEC and come out ranked where they are now!!

The SEC beats itself to death before they ever get to their own championship game. Urbam Meyer left to escape the constant pressure of trying to remain atop the toughest conference in college football.

Congrats to OSU on a great season and the NCAA championship.

While I am not big on the National Championship concept, I think we could

see more inter-conference rivalry in the NCAAF. I liked the old program where

certain conferences played other conferences in bowl games after the regular

season.

National Championships indicate an equality between programs in all of the college

programs. This is just not so. Recruitment will be much easier at Ohio State this year

than it was, for sure. But not so much in some of the other schools. University of Illinois

is a good example. Their football program is sadly lagging behind the other Big 10 schools,

as is the University of Indiana and this year the Boilermakers of Purdue.

But the bottom line is that these school have a primary mandate to provide education to

the next generation. Something that could perhaps stand a bit of scrutiny also. But Athletic

programs provide a lot of money. And I guess we can not excape that fact to FOLLOW THE MONEY.

A very impressive performance. Looked like the Buckeyes of yesteryear.

Yep, They would likely be down to their 3rd string QB. And team could ever win that way. ;)^_^
