Apparently your not as well read on the gun reviews online or seen enough Kahr Arms adds to make an informed decision.

Why do I feel like saluting?

Oh hell, I'm in some trouble now...

You're being modest... It's fights over who would get to give you a gift of your choosing!

The lady you mentioned is a very brave woman, she is taking a terrible event in her life and making a positive thing from it. I hope she and her friends can find a

way to make a go of it, as I think women benefit from having peers who will understand their issues while they learn and train. Too many of us men do not know how to

put ourselves into a woman's place when it comes to firearms and close quarters combat training.

Whether it is matters of teaching techniques that understand a woman's upper body strength to load or clear a jam in a semi-auto, hand size and strength and how

that might relate to using a double action pistol, strength and posture and the use of the shotgun, holster selection for a woman's physiology, or teaching tactical

awareness; there is a need for women who can communicate to other women effectively and in an empowering way.

It is a grand and wonderful thing to see the rise in the number of women's schools, by and for women. While we all wish we could be sure of taking care of our

"dainty brides" and "little sisters", it's not possible, and frankly, it's sometimes necessary that they be able to help us as much as we could ever help them.

But gentlemen should remember - it is our duty to provide cover fire while she reloads.

Thank you, S.C. I have decided to join the ranks of women who are making it their work to teach other women how to properly use firearms, especially in defensive situations. Now that I live in a more gun-friendly state, it should be easier for me to obtain the training I need to become an NRA certified instructor for women. Who knows, maybe I'll join that young lady and her friends at their training academy. That would be beyond awesome!!

Pleasure Ma'am.

I'd highly recommend training by LFI (Ayoob), Gunsite, Thunder Ranch, or any other good location where you can get female instructors, and serious training.

Going to several schools is best; it allows you to synthesize what works for you into something you can teach. Equally important though is that also gives you

additional perspective and tools in your bag for teaching those who will not use your exact approach.

Different body types, different physical ability, all sorts of things come into play when instructing, so having a variety of experience is very helpful.

Do become an NRA instructor, it's a great place to start and their program is an excellent one. Other training can happen as the opportunity presents itself,

and maybe one day you will be training others... That would be wonderful!

Good luck and stay safe!

Howdy,

I just ran across this thread for the first time now.

This is quite a story and probably should be posted on the front door of

every gunshop around.

If you ever have a chance watch 'From Paris With Love'.

Picking a gun is a very personal thing and 'Mrs Jones' is very believable to me.

Off and on I help folks pick out guns, friends and folks that come by my table at

shows.

See the movie 'Eraser' for interesting advise on conceal carry.

Glad you found and bought your choice. I would like to hear how it works out longterm.

PM me if you like.

Id like to talk to the one who wants to start a gunshop.

Best

The biggest hold back to the classes like Gunsite is the cost.

Took the Gunsite 499 class, cost was like $2K and burned up close to 1500rnds in 5 days.

Camped at the range--

It's taken me 20+ years to take the 6 classes I have-But, it's worth it.
