McCandless
Just had a pard on another forum tell me he tried to order some bullets from Midway (they were in stock)... and was refused. The reason they gave him was that new legislation rammed through last week prohibits shipping any part of a cartridge to NY State (even the boonies, where he lives). Does that mean he has to buy from a bullet caster inside the state, or does it ban buying and selling components in New York State altogether? Duc (what just wanna knows what's up...) McCandless
via FFL only, regardless of the manufacturer being in state or not How does this effect reloaders who already have enough components to keep them busy for awhile? Does it grandfather in ammo you already have, components, you already have, or is everything that you don't have an FFL receipt for, illegal? Are LEO's now going to check for receipts for the ammo, (or components), if you get stopped? Just wondering about the logistics of it. No, I ain't movin' there. They are going to have to hire a BUNCH of folks to enforce these new rules and collect the new taxes. Even if you don't own a gun in NY, your taxes will go up to pay for the brand new employees with huge benefit packages sent to charge you more money for something you already paid for and legally own. El Muerto Negro
As I understand, it will be April 15 2014 when you will have to buy ammo from a licensed store. It said nothing about parts. As of now there is so much confusion no one is shipping to NY. EMN

KC Colt, SASS #69404
What an idiotic law... A governor makes a proclamation on tv and its law. Fine, move to NY and stand up for gun rights. Be heard UP HERE. Come up HERE and risk getting arrested, having ALL of your guns seized, your right to own a gun ever again taken away, face enormous fines and do time in jail. The NY legislature rammed it through so fast that NY gunowners had no time to organize, legislators saw the bill 20 minutes before it was voted on. The initial version was written so quickly they forgot to exempt law enforcement from all the bans. So what the final bill states probably remains to be seen. Manatee
It's time to fight dirty. Anyone have pictures of Cuomo with a goat in the sack? No? Everyone has something to hide. Time to find out what he's hiding. As to the legislature, the good news is that you only have 22 months until elections. Time to primary the guys who voted for this bill. If you can't get a republican in because it's a democrat district, run a pro-gun democrat in the primary. It will cost the libs plenty to run a primary contest AND a main event. Start putting pressure on now. The good news is Cuomo has just ruined his chances to ever run for president. May he rot in hell.

Thomas Jefferson once said that in order for a republic to survive it must go through a revolution about every two hundred years. We may just be headed in that direction in the near future. I don't know but I would imagine that the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, the NRA & the GOA lawyers already have their heads together seeking ways to file suits in federal court to have these laws overturned as in violation of the 2nd Amendment. What part of "shall not be infringed" don't they understand? Cuomo knows that the 2nd isn't about hunting, it's about keeping our govt. from becoming a tyranical govt.. These gun control measures are about power and power only and we must not let them have that power. Cuomo called NY the "progressive" capitol of the nation. Look up the history of that word in American politics going back to the early twentieth century.

Jake Jake you hit the nail right on the head pardner! Woodrow Wilson, & FDR were both progressives, but very mild compared to the communists of today. Clinton after her appointment to the SoS cabinet post was asked at a press conference if she was a communist & she replied that she would rather be called a progressive. I'd like to know what these idiots think is so great about communism. It's never worked in any country that it's been tried. Even hard core China is gradually (be it ever so slowly) moving towards capitalism. If you choose to google it you can read the English lanuage edition of Pravda online. The Russians are laughing at us for being so ignorant to elect Obambam in the first place much less re-elect him for a 2nd term. It took them 70 years to learn that communism does not work and get rid of it, but they finally did get rid of it. .
