Was it a shooting at a school of teachers and students, or a shooting in a parking lot after school hours, or a shooting within a 1,000 feet of a school which is the definition of a school zone? Anyway, I just saw the number "83" for this one a bit ago and that it was a record beating the previous record from 2023. By some measure and definition. 1,000 feet means I'can't live where I do, go to or from it, go to or from the library or town hall, or any shopping center, travel almost any road in our town, nor get or out of he town, much of the county, and over some roads the state itself. Rip Snorter Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Kids should not be able to get to guns without an adult present. Mine could not till they were old enough to vote or buy their own. Friends had an adult son who was having issues. They changed the combos on their safes with all the guns under lock & key. 2 Quote

Some journalist noticed that teen suicides spiked in correlation with the excessive publicizing of celebrity suicides. So the news media including print, TV and radio made a joint decision to stop sensationalizing celebrity suicides. As as predicted teen suicides dropped dramatically. Unfortunately we no longer have journalists and the news media has their own agenda which includes disarming the populace so that they can be the mouth piece for a select group of people to rule over the masses. Subdeacon Joe Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Notice how quickly this dropped from the screaming, above the fold, 72 point headlines? Barely even a mention now. Why would that be? Hmmm..... Murderer wasn't a white male. Firearm wasn't an evil black rifle. Victims were at a Christian school. Nothing fits the preferred stereotype of a mass shooter. Sort of like the Nashville shooting about a year and a half ago. While there was some chatter for about a week, mostly to try to make the murderer the victim, it also quickly dropped from the public radar. 1 2 Quote
