El Sobrante Kid
I have seen a few ways to do the fix; bend, weld/file, JB Weld/shim. How do you do yours, and how much taller are they when they are finished? Thx
Scarlett
Contact @Slater at @Slater's In House Guns. He and @Widder, SASS #59054 are MY Marlin gurus! None of my Marlins have gremlins OR jams once they are done with them! Widder is kinda retired but I think Slater invites him over so that he stays outta trouble! 😂 Seriously, Slater does excellent work not only on Marlins but also on 1887s, and Henry .22s His smooth stroke Henry .22 would make an EXCELLENT Christmas present! Hugs! Scarlett 3

Solid fixing with JB weld. It's how your finish is done. It's not hard and it's also not easy. Thanks for asking pilgrim. Haven't had any returns on my fixing that Marlin Jam. I think Widder would say I'm doing ok. Jackrabbit Joe

Thanks for your posting, Scarlett. Jackrabbit Joe #
Widder, SASS #59054
I've probably had conversations with MANY folks in SASS (and quite a few outside of SASS) about the Marlin and its inner workings. A good handful of those folks had a good knowledge of the Marlin and either had a minor question OR share information. Indeed, I have also learned a few things from those conversations. Jackrabbit Joe was one of those folks who already knew a good deal about the Marlin and talking with him was good conversations. I think his offer of these services can be very helpful to Marlin owners who are suffering with that gremlin known as the Marlin Jam. Hope you are doing well, JJ. ..........Widder

Nostrum Damus SASS #110702
Plus, the eBay guy in England (seller name leen8472) is still making improved stainless steel carriers. I got the .357/.38 one over the summer and it worked great in my test runs. I just put it back into my parts box for when the original starts hanging up.
