Flinthills Dawg Posted October 4, 2023 Share Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) It is with great pride to announce that the Butterfield Gulch Gang in Chapman Kansas will be hosting the 2024 Kansas state Championship, along with the 2024 Classic Cowboy Showdown Dates are May 2-3-4 sides and long range on Thursday the 2nd, 12 main match stages 6 on Friday and 6 on Saturday. We will shoot all 6 stages then do lunch both days. Banquet and awards Saturday night at the Elks lodge in Abilene Kansas. Will shoot long range Pistol caliber lever 1-2 hundred yds, Big Bore Lever 2-3-4 hundred yds, Big Bore Single 2-3-4 hundred yds, Buffalo Bore 3-4 hundred yds. Standard speed side events, with one exception we will shoot an all gun side match which consists of using your main match rifle, shotgun, revolvers, a wild bunch legal 1911 45 acp, pocket pistol, derringer, 22 revolver, 22 rifle al on one side match stage!! And if you don't have some of those guns loaners and ammo will be available. Dry camping is available, side note land owner charges a $15.00 per night fee for campers. (We'll also be sponsoring our own buckle, but that ain't new for the Classic Cowboy alternate categories... contact Major.) This new category idea has been discussed, so far favorably , and Major needs a tentative showing of hands who'll commit so he can move forward with plans.
