Thanks Joe....awesome pics. ;)

Can't get my cellphone to take that great a picture, but then, it didn't cost a billion dollars. :o

Looking at the images, Salvador Dali comes to mind......

I went to the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Pete. Came out a little dizzy. ;)

There are colors, but they're a lot more washed out in real life than what these images show. The best image I've seen so far was one taken just a few thousand miles above the atmosphere. You could actually see the varying heights of the cloud tops.

It’s surprising how much NASA photography is colorized to “enhance interpretation”.  I get the scientific rationale, but it also makes for beautiful photography which generates public interest which generates tax dollars.

Kinda funny how ALL the colors are the same colors we have here on Earth.

 

I mean, can't even Jupiter produce its own color schemes?
