JohnWesleyHardin Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I am staying at Hidden Valley RV park. Just want to know how early to get there. I don't know when I am shooting yet because I am not picking up my packet until tomorrow afternoon.

I don't know when I am shooting yet because I am not picking up my packet until tomorrow afternoon. We’ll be here from 6:00am until 4:00pm or so. The SASS office will probably be open a little late tomorrow to accommodate late arrivals such as yourself.
JohnWesleyHardin Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I will be staying at hidden valley RV. Not picking up my packet until tomorrow afternoon so I don't know when I am shooting. Just wanted a general idea how earlier before my safety meeting should I arrive.

I don't know when I am shooting yet because I am not picking up my packet until tomorrow afternoon. Leave Hidden Valley and turn right on 333 (Old Rt 66 of song and legend), you'll crest Sedillo Hill and head down towards NM 217, turn right on 217 and go 4.5 or so miles to Juan Tomas (although some of the signs say Thomas). Turn left there (the side with the group of mailboxes) and go another 3/4 - 1 mile until you get to Barton Road. Turn left on Barton and proceed to the main gate (SASS and FR flags). The big hint is if you end up on a dirt road you've missed something. This is the way to get to the gate on pavement. My best guess is that if you budget a half hour it will be good. DO NOT USE GPS OR GOOGLE MAPS THEY WILL SEND YOU DOWN BARTON FROM 333 (if you see Rt 66 Elementary School you're on it) WHICH IS BAD NEWS. If you get turned around call me at 505-934-2533 and I'll guide you in. I usually have the phone on from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM or so (once I get home I have no coverage). Opening Ceremonies are tomorrow at 5:30, and really a great event (plus food!)
