2024 Tennessee State Championship
Widder, SASS #59054 replied to Randy Saint Eagle, SASS # 64903's topic in SASS Wire
Capt BB is very capable to dish out a whoopin on most folks. And he'll show 'No Mercy' on some of us at the TN State. On the other hand, if TW can get healed up a little, he can transition a stage as well as anyone. And his stage times will run lower than most GFer's and Duelist alike. I'd hate to be in the 'prediction' business for this epic event. Smart money might leans towards Capt BB. But 'wise' money won't bet on anyone. As for meowndangself, I'm bringing The Enchantress. And she's been warming up for this little bruhaa. ..........Widder - Today

I discovered just a week or so ago. My kitchen sink - the bowls themselves are not magnetic, but the trim piece around the edge is. And that's where she's sticking her little picture - on the trim. Some people reuse aluminum foil. I don't. I also don't reuse Ziploc bags. But some people wash them and reuse them. So maybe she reuses her foil.

Infected replacement knee
Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L replied to Clay Mosby's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
I hope that the infection can be entirely eliminated from your knee. In the mid 70's, I had an ankle replacement due to a serious accident. At the time of the accident, bones were covered with dirt and sand. It was impossible to remove all of the dirt and sand and some became encapsulated in the bones. When the artificial ankle was installed, some of the dirt and sand were exposed to the metal joint resulting in an infection. Since antibiotics will not work on metal and the source (the dirt and sand) could not be completely removed, the joint was removed and my ankle was fused. -

What lessons did your Mom teach you?
Will Kane replied to Father Kit Cool Gun Garth's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
1. Your teacher takes my place at school. If I find out she had to spank you, you can count on a second spanking when you get home. 2. Don’t lie. If you lie, you’ll have to tell another lie to cover up the first one, and so on. Soon, you’ll forget all the lies you’ve told. -
I’m totally left handed! I don’t mind shooting some stages that are advantageous to the right handed shooter, so long as a fair amount of stages are southpaw friendly. Stages that are neutral are always good. I shot a State Championship Match a few years ago that was entirely written for right handed shooters. There were absolutely NO scenarios that lent themselves to a person shooting left handed. All movement was right to left and on several stages I literally had to walk backward in order to shoot the required sequences!!! The props and stage construction would have allowed me to move in a normal manner if the shooting sequences and stage instructions had allowed it, but such was not the case! After the match, I asked the match director and the stage writer to take a walk through a number of the stages and I demonstrated how, in some cases, it was actually borderline dangerous to not allow some variation in movement and gun order. When I asked them if they thought that this was fair, they looked at me like I had two heads and horns!! I then asked if they had any left handed members in the host club. They replied that there was one elderly gentleman in the club that shot left handed, “but nobody ever complained about it before…”. As it happens, I traveled with a couple of other left handed shooters for several years and we shot major matches in several states throughout the area east of the Mississippi and occasionally ventured into other parts of the country. We often found that we were shooting from a distinct disadvantage in some places and we weren’t bashful about pointing it out to MDs and host club officials whenever it happened. Most of them were more than happy to make reasonable changes in match setup and shooting instructions when we returned to shoot with them again the next time.

From what I've read about the underwater drone is that it has stealth capabilities and is all electric. Pretty neat!

And she thinks that's a smart move...except The dishes will still have to be done sooner or later. Most stainless sinks are not magnetic. What happens when someone wants to use the sink, now you get to do the dishes and mop the floor. Why is there aluminum foil hanging on the wall?

me too , i hope you recover quickly and completely without issues there was a rash of this in our area a number of years ago , we installed a system that delivered laminar air to the surgical area to cure that , it seems to have been successful as they continued knee surgeries and the infection rate has been almost eliminated , im not a surgeon , nor that bright about infections , as an architect.contractor we applied what the surgeons asked for , if i were going to get a knee replaced id want to research the facility carefully ,
