Might want to check bullet diameter. Could have been intended for 380 ACP.

Guess that shot my idea down………. Well, I tried.

I’m sure you could use the with light loads in 38 Special, but that may not have been their intended use.

Rudy that old coot that Ned is referring to actually used some full wad cutter 75 gr bullets to load 38 specials for occasional fun.

Way back when I used them in pistols, but have settled on 125 gr. for both rifle and pistol. You can load the 92's light, but you may get misses that are undeserved by spotters who rely on sound.

Well, I loaded 40 of these up and shot them today. They worked fine for what we do. They are Bonus Bullets 38 Cal. 92 Gr. sized .358. Loaded with 3.4 Gr. Trail Boss.

PLUS ONE for Go West.  Ran into the same problem with my .36 Cal Cap Guns with 80Gr Round Ball.  Kept getting called for misses 'cause the spotters couldn't hear hits on "dead" targets.  So I switched to 90Gr Cast EPP UG - 36 BULLETS.  They make a nice 38ish KLANG.  A 75Gr Wadcutter cast sorta hard and pushed sorta fast could do but I find the EPP UG - 36 gets it done just fine.  I do run 125Gr 38s for suppositories though.

These say hard cast on the bag. They made a pretty good ding! Going to load a couple hundred to shoot at our old coot match. Just to make sure the at a match.

I load 158 grain bullets in 38 Special cases with W231 for CAS rifles.  There is plenty of load data and +p loads are not necessary.  I crimp at the top of the lube groove instead of the crimp groove to achieve a better OAL.  3.7 grains of W231 gives enough pressure that cases seal well when fired.  There is a decent bullet splat and targets wiggle helping spotters see hits.  There are RNFP designs that feed better than SWC designs.  Slix sells a reamer to remove the crud ring.  I load 125 grain bullets for my revolvers.
