Iron Monger Jimmy
Howdy! I am looking for two all hardwood ammo boxes. One for my .45-70 and the other for my .45-120.. Any wood workers out there that might be interested in helping an old man out? My expertise lies in iron..not wood... Looking for either Oak (1st choice) or Cherry. Message me for the particulars if any of ya are interested,, Thank you all kindly Iron Monger Jimmy SASS#5115

Warden Callaway
Read the title and thought, yes, I've made a wood box. But it is a firewood box. Been in use some 20 years. Repaired a couple of times. Beat up. But that's what it's for. Probably go for big bucks at our estate auction (some time in the distant future) being a rustic antique. 2
Iron Monger Jimmy
Thank you all kindly.will message the gentleman here shortly... I would try it myself but for some reason wood and me do not get along well..I am still trying to figure out why they call it ironwood when you can't forge it?? Talk about something being red-short... Iron Monger Jimmy SASS#5115 2

Dusty Woodman
I thought I would post some photos of some of my work. You can't just take my word and Rob's. Shot Shell Boxes. Winchester magazine screwdrivers. A stand for a loading black powder pistol. And some grips. All scratch made. If I could make a living building stringed instruments I would so this stuff is easy. 16

Warden Callaway
We have two boxes that came from Wally-World. I put a lift out tray in one and use it to haul my black powder stuff. The other has 38 ammo in it. A company in Huston Missouri make boxes but they don't retail. https://www.evanssports.com/ Edited May 19 by Warden Callaway

Colorado Coffinmaker
Nothing fancy, but "MICHAELS CRAFTS" as small wood boxes. A little stain and PRESTO. Just a thought.

Lucky R. K.
Here is a box I made several years ago. It has multiple trays that can be easily swapped out. There is a tray for C & B pistol, M/L shotgun. 10, 12, and 16 Ga. shotgun wads and a tray for accessories. The covered boxes on the top right are for shot and powder. Lucky Edited July 23 by Lucky R.
