BAIL UP!

Mixed fiction and nonfiction

"Ned Kelly was a notorious Austrailian bushranger who deified colonial authorities in the 1870's and became a folk hero to many   to the whole Nation"

                             ...... fixed it

I don't know. That was a cut and paste. I didn't type it.

Just went and looked. Deified is what it says on the site.

Of course otto might have been there also.

I noticed it was a direct quote from the site rather than your personal tormentor. B)

My understanding has always been that which WJ clarified.

The Ploughboys end "Wild Colonial Boy" with these verses:

"Come all of you Australians

And Irish, and Americans, too

You have no rights that your government

Would not gladly strip from you

So remember Jack, and Ned Kelly, too

If your freedoms, you enjoy

Never fear to fight for them,

Like the Wild Colonial Boy."

Cheers,

FJT

Another that was persecuted for many things he did 'NOT do...yep he had his faults but was loved by many/ hated by the authorities

Ned Kelly clothing , trinkets etc are sold by the millions..not to mention Tatts which I have some my self. I know someone that has a mounted police officers rifle that was at the Glenrowan  seige where Ned wore his homemade armour plating..his movement was slowed & they shot him in the ankles,& elbows.

I think, more Folk Hero, ....... not unlike Jesse James and Billy the Kid ......  ;)

While you are listing murdering little bastages, don't forget John Dillinger and Bonnie and Clyde. They also became folk heroes.

Because "folk" are stupid.
