Most stainless sinks are not magnetic. What happens when someone wants to use the sink, now you get to do the dishes and mop the floor. Why is there aluminum foil hanging on the wall?

My kitchen sink - the bowls themselves are not magnetic, but the trim piece around the edge is. And that's where she's sticking her little picture - on the trim. 31 minutes ago, Cypress Sun said: Why is there aluminum foil hanging on the wall? Some people reuse aluminum foil. I don't. I also don't reuse Ziploc bags. But some people wash them and reuse them. So maybe she reuses her foil. 3

So maybe she reuses her foil. I just tried my sink with a powerful magnet and you're right, the rim is magnetic but only on the straight edges. Learned something today! As I understand it, some of the stainless refrigerators are not magnetic either. So much for fridge magnets. I never reuse foil or Ziplocs, seem like a good way to get food poisoning.

Alpo
3 hours ago, Cypress Sun said: I never reuse foil or Ziplocs, seem like a good way to get food poisoning I agree. I do reuse some of my ziplocs. Many foods I put in the freezer, I double bag. I put them in the ziplock bag, remove all the air and seal it, then put that bag in another ziplock, remove all air and seal that. I frequently reuse the outer bag. As long as the seal will still work. 1
Sedalia Dave
The edges of the sink are magnetic because the rail that the fasteners that hold the sink in place are not stainless steel. 1

Cut to size bags and a little time... 1
