I was watching an early episode of Murder, She Wrote. She was on a cruise ship. The captain was Leslie Nielsen.  It was hard to watch his scenes without expecting a joke.

 

He’s Typecast for sure.

But I agree with typecast.

 

There's a fairly good Western called SHEEP MAN. Glenn Ford, Shirley MacLaine. And Leslie Nielsen is the bad guy. I kept waiting for the jokes.
