Hahaha, that IS a good one.

And Capt BB is my bud and I get to hear his "stuff" all the time. Love the guy!  And I like his car.

Ain't sure about that Iron Cowboy fella though... he's too quiet. Kinda sneaky ya know

I understand.   But ya know he didn't have any class until

he got that sup'd up Camaro.  :o

That car helped his social standing a little.

I heard from 'those in the know'  that ole TN Williams

had another stellar performance today at Wartrace.

Look like the ole boy is ready for all challengers at the

State next month.

Capt BB is down in Georgia, washing and waxing his car.

TN Williams is in Tennessee wearing out steel targets and

stomping down competition.

He was able to go ahead and run his rifle fast today because the rain kept it from overheating!  On dry days he has to slow way down.

TN just told me that he's planning on a

"No Mercy" match at the State.

Said he didn't care how pretty a feller's car or truck is,

he plans to "humble a few folks".

Sounds like he's bringing the whoopin!

That coolant was a contributing factor for those 2 negative time stages I ran. -2.9 and my personal best -4.3

On the other hand, I bet Cap'n BB polished all of the wheels on his car.

I was practicing the other day and poked a hole in the ducky. I now have an inflatable giraffe.

By the way, I wasn't practicing shooting. One of my neighbors bet me 20 bucks he could eat a nanner split quicker than me. Apparently he didn't know who I is. I told him to give me 2 to one odds I could whoop him with me using a fork and him using a spoon. Well I was practicing my fork split eating technique in the pool on the ducky and I got a bit excited. I still whooped up on the neighbor though. Sometimes you have to have pity for the little people of the world...but not every time.

I guess that 2 to 1 odds help you buy that inflatable giraffe.

But if you think about it, stabbing your rubber ducky with a fork

sounds like SOMEBODY has already started using their HooDoo

doll on you.

In might be time to involk incantation #7.

I got some attention the first time I came to Wartrace in a Miata and pulled all my gear out of that little trunk.  Compared to that the Camaro's trunk is as big as a garage.  I do get some looks when I crank her up, especially if it's a cold start.

I have minions do my polishing.

Hmm, seems you came in second place, again.  Charly too much for you?

When the Iron Cowboy is shooting his pistols sound a lot like Charly's.  His rifle sounds kind of like Christian Mortician.  Unfortunately his shotgun sounds more like me.

Capt BB,

maybe with some good practice and a few more months,

his SG might start sounding like 'Iron Cowboy' in which he

can carve his own notch.

Hopefully, the SG class can help him and if he needs any

1 on 1 encouragement, I'll be glad to help.

1 on 1 instructions are FREE for our younger shooters.

You'll owe me a cold diet Pepsi if I have to help you.....

Capt. BB, you gotta be careful if Iron Cowboy is taking lessons from Widder.  I hear ole Widder gives a complimentary jar of his special shotgun lube to every student in the class.  It'll be smooth if he likes ya and crunchy if he's scared of ya!

You'd think that "Not Widder" would learn that he's not actually suppose to use the peanut butter; just convince his competitors they need to...

Tyrel,

Red Knee's mentor is coming to the TN State.

The man who got Red Knee shooting a 97 and teaching him

a good deal of what he knows.    The man who has also beat

Red Knee in some speed competition at one time.

A man I'm looking forward to meeting and hanging out with

a spell.   And a man who is also one of the best 97 smith's in

the country.   The man..... Roy's Creek Dan.

He's as fine a feller you'd ever want to meet.   Look him up

at the State and say 'Howdy'.

Heck, there ain't nothing to it. My best run is about 4 seconds flat where Widders is 3.82 atleast the one I was witness to was. Of course his was on 6kds and mine was on 2kds and one of them stayed up. But what's details matter?

Thats right TN..... who cares about the small details?

p.s. - all mine fell.

It's been a sad week with tough news.  I'll miss Papa Dave.  He was a fine man and a great cowboy.

I think we should all wear something at the match to remember him.  Maybe black tape over our badges or something.

Two weeks to go.

Posted

Thats a nice thought, Capt.

Some may even have black arm bands.

I didn't know Papa Dave like many others did at Wartrace,

but I would be surprised if he would want anything to change

at the match other than our continued support for the

Fight Against Cancer.

Maybe even a PINK piece of tape on our name badges

in his memory.   And the pink tape could also be in

recognition and memory of others who are fighting

and those who have lost the battle with Cancer.

Here is the perfect tape.

Pro Gaff/Gaffers Tape .5, 1, 2, 3, 4 Inch Widths X Variable Lengths, 1/2 Inch, Fl. Pink

Unlike Duct tape gaffers tape will not leave a residue.

Posted

It will be good to see everyone.  We'll try to roll in before things close down Thursday, but it will be close.

I'm happy to buy a thing of Gaffers or Irwin tape, or if someone from Wartrace is taking care of that I'm happy to wear whatever is being handed out.

I gotta warn you @Tennessee williams not only is the Iron Cowboy really fast, he can eat nanner splits until the cows come home. Expect a shortage in TN after he leaves.
