Does anyone remember when Larson's articles on cap and ball Navy's were published in the Chronicle.

Posted

They started in June of 2008 and spanned several issues.  There were a series of articles on Pietta and Uberti.  For some reason most are not in the index so you have to scroll through each edition.  The first one starts on page 38 of the June, 2008 issue.

If you're on Facebook you can go to the "S.A.S.S. and Cowboy Action Shooting" page. Look in the file section. I believe most if not all are stores there. That or maybe Doc McCandless knows how to share them here.

I printed out the whole series and made a notebook.  You never know when the electrons will go blooey!

My electrons usually go "blooey" a couple of times a year.  Usually it's at Black Gold and Comin'At'Cha.:P

Every stinkin’ time I hear the beep of the timer.

Was hoping that @Marauder SASS #13056 would add them to his website now that the Open Range is gone.

By the way what ever happened to The Open Range  ?

Heddy (that's HEDLEY!) converted to PDF and you can save them for forever.  The Open Range existed for a long time after it was not longer an active forum but it was taken down just a few months ago.

This is a really old thread and I was surprised to find that I could still add to it.

I was looking for Larson Pettifogger's opentop tuning articles.

They WERE on The Open Range but that's long gone. OR IS IT?

This is the information super highway after all and nothing ever really dies here.

Archive.org is an invaluable resource that I have used may times to save my bacon.

There's a bunch of stuff on here that I haven't even scratched the surface.

Movies, audio, software and of course old websites, all there.

All this sort of info would make a great book/manual.
