Had a manager that did some ministry work at the prison and was a devout catholic. He had the ash on the forehead at the office. One of the not so bright guys pointed it out like something unintentional. 2 1 2 Quote

Kind of like pointing out to a Jew that he's still got his hat on in church. Wouldn't be not bright. Just not know that Jews wear their hats in church. I'm 68. And I consider myself fairly bright. I have heard the term Ash Wednesday. Until a couple years ago I had no idea what it meant. It has something to do with Catholics and Lent, and since I wasn't Catholic and didn't do Lent it didn't really matter. So if I saw someone with a spot of ash on his forehead, I might point it out - hey Joe, your forehead is dirty. 1 Quote

Or, if we were really good friends, "IT'S ASH WEDNESDAY, YOU HEATHEN!" As one who was raised RC I think I can safely say that I've experienced most of these: 2 1 6 Quote

Once he was going to take a television and adjust the picture down so small it would become a laser. Another time he was going to move to Polynesia because they allowed you to have "cummerbunds". Alpo Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 That would be interesting. I would like to see him wear his girlfriend around his waist. 2 Quote
