My Dad adored her. He would stop in his tracks if she was on TV and he saw all of her movies.

She was definitely a "star".

Fantastic and versitile actress.  One of the last of an era when the big names had elegance.

Time to watch her and Jimmy Stewart again in Hitchcock’s “The Man Who Knew Too Much.”

I always had her like Debbie Reynolds, nice women. She would never play the Calamity Jane of Deadwood.

I never felt Doris Day did well as a western character. The Ballad Of Josie was NOT one of her better efforts. Westerns are not great vehicles for everyone!  I don't think Pee Wee Herman or Jim Parsons would fare well as a western movie hero. There are many others as well!

Miss Day was fabulous in many other genres of film.  Not westerns!!
