Yup, Hebrew National and Nathans around our house, loaded down with chili, cheese, onions, jalapenos, relish, spicy mustard, ketsup, and sometimes some sauerkraut. :)

+1

I usually skip the catsup and relish, though, and just go with the onions, chili, spicy mustard, cheese, and kraut. Now that's what I call a real gut bomb! :)

Dogs are for the ballpark or picnics...Brats are for home :)

O'l Tequila is kind of partial to Nathans hot doggies. Ms Complicated Lady, Oscar Mayer has

a new beef frank out, seen it advertised somewhares. Regards, TJ

Tried the new Oscar Mayer beef frank....just not even close to what it was when I was a kid.

At West and Muenster Texas as well as many other Czech and German communities you can buy "Hot DogS" that are free of most preservatives and are made from mainly meat rather than pig adenoids, hemorhoids, etc. To me, they are the best!

Years ago, while working in downtown Detroit over on Woodward Avenue were several Greek Coney

Island Hot Dog Stands. These were postage stamp size diners with a square counter and stools around. The stove with the pot of hot dogs and chili was in the middle. They had bowls of chopped onions, Mustard and catsup scattered around the counter. I can owe any distress of my lower intestines to some of the after lunch damage, even after all these years.

They were sure good though. Most people would avoid us after a luncheon in one of them.

Of course an 18 year old lad can digest just about anything.

They did not serve tofu or grape leaves however.

As much as I hate to say this, I have a problem with hot dogs. I really like grilled dogs, but the ones I have had lately are so salty I can't eat them. I have to boil the bejebbers out of them just to be able to

enjoy them. I do like the ones with the Star of David on them best tho. With the brown hot mustard!

Insert big grin here. :) With a cold brewsky. Insert another big grin :) .

Tried boiling those dogs in beer? The cheap stuff; of course( I won't name any names)

Seems to be good for getting salt content down.

Put me down for the same... Hebrew National and Nathans... Now Okie and I do disagree about what condiments go on a hotdog, but Wildcat agrees with me...
