Once again, Land Run was exceptional!

Recommended Posts

I agree totally!  In all aspects, Landrun was EXACTLY what a championship match should be!  Target distances and shooting sequences were great and the weather was fantastic!  Banquet/awards ceremony had great food, supreme venue and moved along as smoothly as could be.  My HUGE thank you to all involved!

I totally agree. Once again a great match ran by great people. Already looking forward to next year. All of the OK Marshalls did a fantastic job.

It was a great match. I had the pleasure of shooting on @Billy Boots, # 20282 LTG-Regulator posse with Possum Skinner and had a blast. He’s fun to watch with those pistols.

I also got to meet @Phantom, SASS #54973 and was devastated to find he was taller than me AND outshot me.

It’s an 11.5 hour drive (one way) but was definitely worth it.

This match brings out the best in this game. I shot a good match with a 27 sec average and still came in 20 out of 32 in my category and 289 out of 684. Now that should tell you how good the shooters are in our organization. The other half of the story is I also know there were a number of shooters that always out shoot me that didn't because of hiccups they had so if you are looking for a competitive match you need to come out next year and give it a go. I will be there again and will continue to try and beat my score which is my best competitor in this game.

It was great meeting you and your wife (was your wife...right? ☺️). She's very nice...but she's gotta learn to stop leaving her guns everywhere 🤪

Camping on range is the way to go.  How many ranges have water and electric service for their campers?  The camping crew was on duty from sunrise to sunset parking trailers and RVs.  They ensured roads remained open,  everyone’s hoses and electric cables reached service and all sideouts and awnings could be opened.  The pumping service ensured one’s waste water tanks did not fill before leaving the range.

I enjoyed the 5-stand side match.  The clays presentations were simple and slow.  There were only report pairs, no true pairs.  It was shootable with a coach gun or a pump shotgun.  This was a suitable course for a CAS side match.

My advice to the Territorial Marshals is to just keep doing what you are doing.  I saw little opportunity for improvement.  I will certainly return next year.

Solid match!

Would suggest (did suggest), increasing the height of the cross on stage one so that the horizonal member is much higher. That'll make it a bit nicer for shorter folks. Also would have a couple of brass pickers/buckets at each stage.

Well done OTM's!

Thanks again for the offer of lending me your back up ‘58 Remington to try and finish the plainsman match! I’m looking forward to shooting plainsman with  you again next year.

Might keep it from catching on fire too.  :P

Another fantastic match and the best banquet in SASS.  Looking forward to next year.

Really fun match, glad I was able to attend.

Tempted to signup with two other alias's with SASS, so I can sign up with three applications for myself, and shoot each wave, I would shoot 12 stages everyday!!!
