This video was the dawn of CGI (Computer Generated Imaging). This is the first computer generated video made. I don't recall how much Dire Straits paid to have that done but IIRC it was quite a bit. It was made with a bank of SUN Solaris units for their processing power.
Blackwater 53393
This number tells how it is for the ones that live the life! The travel, the work, the rehearsals, the loneliness, and all of it disappear when “those lights come up and you hear that sound and you remember why you came!”

Blackwater 53393
I just got back from the foot doctor this morning! The first line in this song describes the better part of the last six years, ten months, and six days!

Cypress Sun
Went to see Ted four times. Absolutely the loudest concerts that I have ever been to. The Amboy Dukes were good but Ted on his own was GREAT. The Electric Ballroom (so-called) album got worn out in the high school parking lot. Free For All and Cat Scratch were good also. Started to go downhill with Weekend Warriors. Add Jensen Mindblower speakers to the Pioneer car stereo to the equation...no wonder I'm damn near deaf now. Does anyone remember the first rock and roll song played by Dr. Johnny Fever when the format changed on WKRP? I do. By the way BOOGER. Ahhh, those were the days. 1

Chantry
Tracy Chapman released 'Fast Car' way back on April 6th, 1988. Her duet with Luke Combs was probably the only thing worth watching the 66th Grammies for. I still think the original was better, but seeing Tracy smile and the respect and admiration from Luke Combs and the audience makes watching it worth the time. I think the duet is slightly more uptempo and optimistic than the original. Edited February 9 by Chantry
Blackwater 53393
Off and on, fast cars have been the subject or the backdrop for songs for a long long time! This one ain’t one of them, but it sure is a fun one! Edited February 9 by Blackwater 53393

Blackwater 53393
I had a ‘64 SS. With a little tuning, it was one of the most violent cars that I have ever driven on the street! In Friday night racing trim, it would pick the front wheels up about a foot on takeoff and carry them, sometimes, twenty feet! Actually, I’ve had several of those cars in songs we’ve heard.
