Didn’t sleep well last night. I spent a lot of time in my head with the music that runs through it.

Not only could Karen Carpenter sing but she was also an accomplished drummer.

Two guitar greats, three drummers, a hugely underrated keyboard player, and the bass player was one of my high school friends!!

 

 

This is a long one and best enjoyed through good headphones!

I’d just like to throw in here that The Carpenters was one of the best “date concerts” you could ask for.

Hmmm... I will take your word for it, since they were before my time. I only went to one "date concert" that I can recall as a younger man. It was this guy.

 

 

How'd the date turn out? Well, we celebrated 33 years of marriage last November, so I'd say, so far, it's going pretty well!

Speaking of first dates, my first date with my wife ( now my ex) was going to an amusement park on a Sunday. This song was playing when we started off driving.
