Boz Scaggs was almost big band in a Rock ‘n’ Roll world for a while!

Very entertaining!

Mama used to play this album for us.

Went to sleep many a night soothed by Marty Robbins!

My dad and Marty were friends!  Dad was a deputy sheriff and county highway patrolman. He often worked security on Friday and Saturday evenings at the Ryman Auditorium for The Grand Ole Opry.  He met Marty there, but really got to know him when they both raced at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in the fifties and sixties.

Marty was a huge racing fan and he had the money to field a car of his own and raced frequently in regular weekend events at the Fairgrounds.

I never met the man, some of his music is great!  I have said before how much I appreciate great arrangement, orchestration, and harmonies.

This one is outstanding!!!

I have this one in my personal music library!

... that clickity clickity sound is the ratchet mechanism on a heavy duty jack ...

... I just set your father up on a pedestal and I'm raising it to nosebleed height ...

(insert image of greying old grandfather air-punching and yelling "ALL RIIIIIGHT!!!")

I was looking for some more Johnny Winter and stumbled upon this!!  Sounds like he had as much fun recording this as Dylan when he did it!

I love the song!!!

There's a band I haven't heard of in a LONG time. Used to see a gal back in 1977 that loved them. I still have the album I bought so she could listen to them at my apartment. It was their 1st album, I think.

An original Ray Charles song!

My son was playing with Rob Thomas when Santana was featured on his album. My son got to jam with Santana. They were trading riffs. Great experience for him. Carlos was about 70 then. He’s 76 now.
