Chili Ron
Howdy, It was in a store showcase....50 rounds I think. It just turned me off seeing that price. Im not sure I would pay half that price. But I dont shoot much .45 colt either. I lost my favorite shootin range and that was very bad. Best CR

Three Foot Johnson
I've been criticized lately for selling guns/ammo/reloading components for "the going rate", or at least more than I paid. I find it odd that people think I should sell a Vaquero I paid $300 for a dozen years ago for the same $300, because "that's the cowboy way". Some years back, I made a twelve fold profit on a house I sold... also not "the cowboy way", I guess.

Rip Snorter
Simple answer for the critics, calculate those old dollars into today's dollars. Break even or loss most likely on the transactions.

This was taken today , then went to a overcrowded over priced Gun show with more gawkers then buyers but at the prices they where asking with a few exceptions I understand why . I bought my SRC Winchester 92 in 32-20 a couple months before Winchesters really started to climb paid 350 for it years ago Heck no I wouldnt sell it for that , Cowboy way is just some one trying to get the best of you . A true Cowboy knows the value of working for that dollar and wouldnt be giving it away just because he got a deal on it . Most that use that as a bargaining point well the closest that cowboys been to a bull is a Tbone steak
Oak Ridge Regulator
There is a difference between making a profit which is fine because that’s how people get things done and screwing the hell out of people because their in a pinch, most of the people I have met in SASS are pretty damn fair about their prices if even a bit on the low side, in fact I have seen a lot of stuff given away when it could. Have been sold for a profit, wish the rest of the world was more like SASS folks !!!
watab kid
ive seldom made much proffit on anything i bought for me because i liked it and then parted with , but i got my moneys worth and think generally broke even in the end , you do have to consider inflation , no one can force you to buy , shop around , pay what your willing to part with for what your getting ,
Chili Ron
Howdy, So they want 1965 prices today??? Just tell em you want pre 1965 dates on the silver dollars they pay. Ive had so called pards try to renegotiate a deal because of jamming problems... Funny how the rifle works perfect in my hands and jams when the buyer runs a few rounds.... I watch and see they are being real clever at pausing the lever. I just told em I didnt want to sell a defective rifle and would take it to my smith so they wouldnt have trouble... Suddenly the price it back to the previously agreed bargain number. And I dont deal with them after. Best CR
