Yes, Uberti, 16-1/2" barrel.  (also 18-1/4", and 22-1/2" with the standard being 24-1/4")

VTI lists the barrels as parts they sell.

An NCOWS shooter I shoot with has a Henry reproduction with a carbine length barrel. next time I see him I'll inquire as to the length and if is is a factory gun or he had it shortened.

"if is is a factory gun or he had it shortened."

More than likely factory.

The Henry barrel & the "barrel shroud" (the part that turns when you load it) are tapered & mated to fit/finish.

You could cut one from the chamber end but that would mean rechambering & cutting a new sight dovetail & loosing the barrel markings.

I have the carbine in 44/40.20 ' barrel. holds 10 rounds

H. K. Uriah,

It's not what you've asked for. I'll start a post when I'm finished.

19" 44-40 Henry transitional with a 66' loading gate added, front twisting barrel removed, next to a 66' carbine.

Uberti 1860 Henry 20",  (measuring muzzle crown to breech-face?)

Did you make it / cut it or is it some special order gun?

That would be very cool either way.

Well thanks Chief, that explains it, not Uberti but "Original Henry"

They picked the shortest length to still get 10 rounds of 44-40 at 20-1/2".

Very cool gun but the MSRP is an "ouch" .

AS a matter of fact.

Some years ago (10+), Uberti did a run of 16 inch barrel "Trappers."  The guns were 44-40 and 45 Colt.  Neither would hold 10 rounds.  Eight rounds inna magazine was the capacity.  At the time, I made some special Carrier Blocks to allow a short cartridge I called the 45 Squirt.  Made the Squirt from 45 Schofield cases.  Then Adirondack Jack came out with the Cowboy 45 Special and a really cool Carrier Block for it.  I don't exactly recall, but there wern't very many 16 inch guns made.

The 18 Inch Uberti's also would not load 10 Rounds.  9 and a Half.  The 45 rifles would however, take 10 45 Schofield loaded with 200Gr RNFP Bullets.

I also built some custom 19 inch barrel carbines but that was before I retired.  Side loaders with Kings Patent loading gates.

I see the 16" barrel on VTI.   Unless I am lucky to find one of these rare trappers, looks like that's what I'll have to do.

Time to cash in all my change and maybe make use of $400 worth of Cabela's gift cards!

This will be a project gun to be sure.  But when I'm done with it...   Whoo Boy!   People may or may not like the final product, but they will be driven to curiosity by it.

I wouldn't get real excited H.K.  I seriously doubt you'll find VTI has a 16" barrel assembly on hand.  Special order perhaps.  Good Luck

I've had a steel framed Uberti carbine 18-½" on order since Jan of 2020 thru Taylor's & Sons.  Ordered in 45 Colt so I can put a C45S carrier in it and still get 10 rounds in the magazine.  Supposedly there will be 5 shipped to meet Uberti's minimum.

VTI has to use the Uberti parts lists.  Uberti has things on their parts lists that do not even exist.  For example, for several years they listed .32 H&R Magnum barrels for 73s.  Only thing is Uberti never built any.   IF you find a barrel don't buy it unless you can also get the matching barrel shroud.

Just looked at the VTI website.  They still have the .32 H&R barrel listed even though they were never made.

If you decide to cut down an 1860 find a smith that can shorten the breach end of the barrel assembly. Trying to shorten from the muzzle end is 10 times the work.

I had one shortened by a Smith and it wound up at 17". Shortened from the chamber end and I had it chambered for 44 spec so that I could shoot 44 russian. A stop in the carrier and it holds 10.

GRIFF :)

If you ever get that 18 1/2 inch Iron Frame Henry, you can load 45 Schofield with 200Gr RNFP (NOTHING SHORTER) bullets and the rifle will hold 10.

I have two '73s in 45 Colt, the one from 1986 will cycle Schofields but the one from 2014 won't.  Significant difference in the carrier ramp between the two.    I know I could change the angle, but it's way down the "getting round-to-it" list! ;)  'Sides I have about couple+ thousand C45S cases, and no Schofields...

That just makes the job seem so big as to be insurmountable.  And I know it isn't.

Griff mentioning the "minimum" run number, jogged my sketchy memory.  When I received my 16 inch Trapper, It had been on special order for two or three years.  When MS. Uberti called me from Uberti USA I about fell over.  If memory serves, there were 5 or 6 guns, but I think I remember it as 5.  3 were 44-40 and two were 45 Colt.  I don't know who got the other 45 Colt.  I don't know if Uberti ever did another run of Henry 16 inch rifles.  I think that "one" run was it.
