It Can Happen - Primer Explosions

Great reminder. Hand priming can get monotonous after a while and if we’re not careful we become “brain dead” and can make mistakes.

Thanks!

True story...

I hate to tell on myself...but...

Was loading shottys onthe Mech.

Wasn't wearing saftey glasses...wished I had earplugs...

While loading, a bb fell into the primer cup.

I did not see it.

Primer dropped in and I pulled the arm down and HOLY SH--!!!

Hands imediatley went to check my eyes and face for blood...

After my ears quit ringing and my mind clared, I checked the machine.

God was with me, as this could have been a trip, at minimum, to the eye Dr.

I am very cautious 'again' and REALLY stay alert now.

I'm in this club too. More than just a little shocking. Those 209's are STRONG !

Thank you! I always where my reading glasses when reloading but they don't wrap around. I read this and ordered a pair of full lens safety glasses for the reloading shed.

I sucked up a live one with the shop vac and it did ugly things to the inside of the vac, terrorized the sleeping dog also!
