Howdy,

The Chinese have launched a rocket and the booster is

in a polar orbit.

It will come down....somewhere. As I understand it could be

anywhere on Earth.  I could splash in an ocean or hit a sandy desert or....

It could even land  right on the Chinese that launched the thing.

If it lands in my back yard do I get to keep it?  Sell it???

Best

I'm thinking an orbital KEW (kinetic energy weapon) landing in your backyard would not be sanguine

I would love it if it hit my house and mentally traumatized me, but no physical damage. I have enough of that. I would gladly accept a nice compensation fee so I could buy a nice home in Arizona or Texas or both and retire early. I need a new truck, a camper, and a couple more motorcycles and perhaps another safe for the new guns…

Who am I kidding. I can’t even win $20 with the freakin’ lottery…

It’s really big. If it lands in your back yard you won’t need to think about keeping it. Unless you have a whopper of a back yard like me. -_-

Yup.

Think nuke level damage- but without the lingering radiation. Considering the size, it ain't gonna be pretty.

The Chinese apparently have a habit of letting boosters fall into their own villages downrange of their launch sites. Not only is there a big hunk(s) of metal but they get to deal with fuel contamination too. Contrast this with our boosters landing themselves nicely for reuse.

God bless America!

If it comes down near you, you'll have about a minute to come to the realization that you won't have to worry about retirement, going back to work or having to finish all those chores you've been putting off.
