Who also is evidently a Blooming idiot when it comes to firearms as he has no idea of the difference between a machine gun and a semi-auto and no idea what a so called "assault weapon" is. A man who talks about deer hunting as the reason to own a firearm and has armed body guards around him 24/7. There's nothing he can say to sway their opinions and he really doesn't care what they think. He's talking to the people who DON'T know anything about guns. Raylan Posted November 9, 2019 Author Share Posted November 9, 2019 If, he could buy all the Super delegates it would only give him less than a fifth of the delegates, 758 of 4594 delegates, and he can't really buy them as some are true believers and already committed to candidates they like such as Warren, Sanders, and Biden. Maybe he could even win enough votes to get a few delegates from the primaries. But if he or anyone thinks he is going to win the base it is frankly delusional. The man has no charisma, he is woefully ignorant on policy issues (see above clip). Yes he has billions of dollars, but money by itself doesn't buy elections. In fact when voters feel that someone is trying to buy an election it typically motivates them to vote against a candidate. Last election Clinton spent over a billion dollars against Trump and he spent about half that amount. She didn't win. Bloomberg is an authoritarian communitarian globalist control freak with a ton of skeletons in his closet with his treatment of women. He also has a notoriously short fuse. And if he runs he will be running to win the votes and support of a Democratic party that has gone far left - almost openly socialist. He will be hated by the active base of the party. He evidently thinks he can pick up Biden voters (what remains of the old Democratic party) but what he doesn't understand is that Biden is given a pass by the base because he was Obama's VP, otherwise Biden would be a pariah in the party. Also Biden's biggest asset is that people see him as likable -good old uncle Joe. Bloomberg has never been perceived to be likable. I wouldn't mind seeing him run, be nice to see him publically humiliated. Maybe he would hurt Biden and split his vote helping Sanders or Warren in the process but I doubt he could win, even with all his money, more than 5 to 10 percent of the vote in a given primary. I really wonder about this story about him running - the man is a billionaire which you don't become by just accident or luck, and he knows enough about politics to be Mayor of New York so does he really have so much hubris that he thinks he could win or does he have some other motivation or reason?
