For the record, I don't give 'Advice to Mice'.    They're never appreciative of any 'Cheezy Wisdom'  I give them..... :lol:

Being able to make a decision and having the authority to carry it out are not the same thing.  If you're married..... or have worked in some major corporations..... or the government you'd know that

Well said.

Dear Concerned About Size:

Some men prefer a .45 and some prefer the .38, variety is what makes the world go round.

Dear Widder,

Ten years ago I coveted an hombre's hat.  It was probably the best hat I'd ever seen.

1.  Do you think the desperado wearing it deserved it more than me?

2. If I'd have stole the hat from him, would that have been worse than just coveting it?

Dear Coveting Soul:

1.  The Desperado wearing that hat presented it to a fine lady who actually does it justice.   Of course, some fine 'Bullet Splat' jewelry was returned in gratitude.

2.  Breaking another Commandment, such as stealing,  is never the answer to satisfy Coveting.

P.S. - nice pic.   Now everyone can see what the wise old grey hair man looks like.

P.S.S. - that hat and the hatband was made by Ricky at Brims & Trims when they were in good business.   Its a 100x, about as much beaver as possible in a hat.

A baptist I once knew would have said "I wish I had that hat and he had a lump on his nose".  He explained that making it a trade (the hat for a lump) kept it from being straight up covetousness and kept you inline with the commandments.

Dear Widder,

I din't thunk the Baptist category allowed coveted hats?

Am I mistaken,  again?

Dear Mountain Critter:

You are not mistaken.   Baptist should NOT covet another man's hat.

A Baptist can covet my dog, covet my cat,

but Baptist shouldn't covet my hat.

A Baptist can covet my guns and covet my  cap,

but a Baptist shouldn't covet my hat.

Dear Widder mouthpiece.

Is it ok for a non Baptist to covet a hat?

Dear Mtn.  Critter:

A fine lady (Baptist or otherwise) can covet the hat and the wearer..... ;)

All other coveters will have to just sit back and dream.

And will the fine lady, who is allowed to covet, also file suit because she is not allowed to dream?

can I file suit ifn' I git nitemares now???

Dear Bad Dreamer:

Nightmares are usually a symptom of  'bad things' being flushed from your mind to make room for 'good things'.

Just remember, "there ain't no Coupe De'ville hidin at the bottom of a CrackerJack box".

I'm hoping this week some bad things will get pushed outta there ta make room for good things...

Coveting it probably won't get you shot.
