Captain Clark
In the new Chronicle I saw Cimarrons ad for the "new " 1889 double that is advertised as classic styling, and modern mechanics. Who is using this double yet? Any idea on reliability, and where is it being manufactured? Any user input will be appreciated!
Tyrel Cody
Got one from Johnny Meadows and really like it. I believe they are made in Pakistan, will look at it tomorrow. Don't know how long it'll hold up but it seems well made. http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=242547&hl=%2B1889+%2Bcimarron#entry3166203 http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=240941&hl=%2B1889+%2Bcimarron#entry3144387 http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=238760&hl=%2B1889+%2Bcimarron

Dantankerous
I bought a Stoeger from Goatneck Clem several years ago at EoT and I have to say, his work on a shotgun is superb.

Lone Dog, SASS #20401
Me and a pard got one apiece from Johnny. His had a glitch which Johnny fixed quick. Mine has been flawless and it has become my favorite main match sg. I really really love this gun. My SKB is semi-retired now until the new 1889 breaks and I will be running it hard
Too Tall Bob
I got one from Johnny M. I shoot exclusively bp through it and it is a sweet gun. I've got well over a thousand rounds through it and it runs sweet! Balanced well - feels like an SKB.
Gold Canyon Kid #43974
The only critical thing I have read is the variance gun to gun on part dimensions. Looks like someone at the factory is doing a lot of hand fitting, which might make replacement parts a tougher job.
Edward R S Canby, SASS#59971
I have not shot one but did shoulder one at the convention. The LOP and sight picture was perfect for me. Since you (CC) and I are close in stature I suspect it would fit you well too.
