Maryland: Police Use Traffic Stops to Target Gun Owners

Howdy,

Very simple, don't go there.

When I get treated wrong, I don't go back.

Don't spend your money there.

Don't buy stuff made there.

Hit em right in the wallet, and hard.

Cops in Wisconsin treated me bad.

I stopped going to Oshkosh air show, Road America, Milwaukee State

fairgrounds park, Lake Geneva, fishing trips.

On a trip out west, I got in my car and didn't spend one cent in Wisconsin.

Just over the Minnesota boarder I stopped and ate and fueled the car.

Wisconsin folks lost thousands of my dollars.

I go there only if its absolutellley necessary and spend as little as possible there.

Got that ticket in 1985 and Im still ticked off.

AND I know local cops, I have coffee breaks with em and I ask them

to hand tickets to Wisconsin drivers for little bitty infractions.

They laugh and then say 'OK'.

What goes around comes around....

My crime was not braking to 45 at the 45 speed limit sign.

I was roaring along at 55.

Best

Since I live next door to the Peoples Republic of Maryland, it's hard to avoid them. But I do my best.

My folks live there and I grew up there, I left and never thought about moving back. Can't believe people still live there with their crappy politics, high taxes, and loss of freedom. Way too many people. I don't even like to visit MD. Watch out for the thought police.

I question this article

You shouldn't! There's plenty of documentation and several chiefs of police in the state admit to it!!

What, about the article is it that you question?

Burying one's head in the sand does not advance the truth.

Over 18 million cars travel the I 95 corridor each year and a handfull have issues with firearms related stops ..

That is the handful that report a problem. Likely 10 times that many will go unreported.

Come to think of it, using the antis' logic, one is one too many!!

I have to go to PA in Feb for the Great American Outdoor show in Harrisburg PA. Might be a good idea to just go ahead and pay the toll through PA instead of taking I68 across the neck of MD.

Not that my rig would have any guns in it or anything like that...maybe a half chewed Pop Tart or similar....

As long as it doesn't look like a gun you should be fine. A kid in Maryland got in trouble because he bit off enough of a poptart to make it look like a gun and pointed it at someone.
