Plus, you have the right motor company [FOMOCO] and the right color [competition yellow].

If you want a couple of Terlingua Racing Team magnets or decals [Carroll Shelbys race team for Cobras & GT 350 Mustangs] let me know, or go to the TRT website [TERLINGUARACINGTEAM.COM] and join up. Any 'Stang' that looks that good needs to be a member, and they have a lot of other neat Cobra/Mustang/TRT merchandise available.

Ain't bright yellow Ford products FUN ? ? ?

If you get a chance, the Mid America Ford Nationals will be in Tulsa this next weekend [June 13-17]. I will be somewhere close to the Mercury pictured above.

Blackwater, gearbox is good, new Kevlar clutch still has 550 miles to go on break in.

Professor Tulll Can I be you when I grow up? My engine is a Boss 351 replica with the intent to have it stroked with the next overhaul. Your car is awesome, makes me want to call Kasse up and order a Boss 521 and a T56 Magnum for my car!

Buck, no bugs tonight, it is in the garage, I spent my time after getting it done working on rebuilding a 16x16 deck that outlived the Pressure treated wood after 18 years.

J Mark,

A Boss 521 would fit right in that gorgeous Mustang of yours - now that a couple of companys are offering shock tower elimination kits [uses a Mustang II set up] for Mustangs, full size Ford/Mercurys, Cougars.

2 1/2 years ago I did not have that option - we had to reconstruct the shock towers to get that beast to fit.

It has a C-6 with GearVendor overdrive [3.50 Currie 9" rearend] and gets 13.8mpg on the highway.

More fun than a person should be legally allowed to have while driving. Especially with over 700 horses and 694 ft lbs torque - this thing will jumpstart a dead planet.

Now, the really fun part - - - - - - - it is a daily driver ! ! ! !

If the cars picture is any indication, be prepared for a lot of thumbs up and people taking pics of the car with their cell phones while you are out driving.

Congratulations - it is most definetly a "keeper".

No constructive, All the joists and the main beam and 4 posts were already gone, they were removed last summer due to dry rot. I got sidetracked and put a temporary railing up and ignored it for a while.

More lumber arrives tomorrow! Yea :(

OMG, J Mark, that is one beautiful old Ford!

I've never had one of the '71-'73s but I have had many Mustangs, the latest a 2011 5.0 that's the wife's weekend car.

But that one definitely gives me old car envy! Good on ya, brother!

Hi-Yo & Awwwwaaaayyy,

I'd need a full 250 shot of nitrous to get to 700!

J. Mark

If it only takes a 250 shot to get you to 700, you already have one bad Stang.

What type headers, exhaust size and mufflers are you running, and do you have a crossover pipe?

And what is the designated firearm to be carried in that beast? A Mares Leg in .44 Mag would seem appropriate.

Thank you Calamity

Hooker headers, Torker intake, Holley double pumper 700CFM, (850 is going in soon) Comp solid lifter 282 cam with .570 Lift. Closed chamber Cleveland heads, dual 2.5 pipes going into a x pipe and then a pair of Magnaflows and out 2 1/4's from there. I have a Performance Distributors High Energy Ignition, Crane roller rockers, Stainless one piece valves (2.20 Intake 1.71 exhaust) pocket porting of the heads, 5 angle valve job, electric fan,

I have a 3.89 trac loc differential, 31 spline axles, Baer Ironsport rear brake conversion, EBC ceramic pads all around and slotted and drilled rotors all around. Running a 5 speed T-45. Sanden AC compressor to handle the high RPM's, Tinman Subframe connectors, Center tunnel mounted parking brake, 17 American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. Winter project this year or next is to freshen up the 4 bolt main shortblock with a stroker crank and forged pistons.

I've done 6 dyno pulls with it. I believe is actually stronger now than back then as minor changes have been helpful in getting the powerband and gear ratio optimized.

Corrected for driveline loss I was at 415 horsepower. I have a clocked 0-60 run in 5.4 seconds with a passenger and myself and a full tank of gas (over 4000pounds in all)-I spun the tires all the way thru 1st and 2nd on that run. lol

Will be installing the Griffin Radiator and Milodon high volume aluminum water pump over the weekend.

I suspect with a fresh bottom end and the increased compression, I will likely step the cam up a little farther. I think I can get 550 at the crank on the next iteration.

You know, being an old gearhead from the '60's, I understood all of that. Try that on a novice and it would be like talking Martian to 'em.
