Remington may shut down New York plant

Marshal Dan Troop 70448

Recommended Posts

Remington is threatening to shut down its New York plant because of micro-stamping shell casings. They are also threatening to not sell their products in New York. If shut down, could effect demand and supply for cartridges, and cases.MT

Marshal

It should have no affect on Remington ammunition as since 1986 the production of ammunition has been at their facility in Lonoke Arkansas, however firearm production would be affected.

Adios Sgt. Jake

If you like conspiracies or not, according to a recent article posted below, George Soros is the man behind all the buying up of firearms manufacturers. I suspect most of you have heard about him and him being an anti-gun socialist. He backs all sorts of efforts to take away the second amendment rights. If you track who the parent companies are of the those buying up manufacturers it all leads back to GS.

For the last several years a company

called The Freedom Group has been buying up gun and ammunition

manufacturers. Some of the companies are Bushmaster, Marlin, Remington, DPMS,

Dakota Arms and H&R. Some people worry that this Freedom Group is

going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States.

If you control the manufacturers you can decide to stop selling to

civilians. What a perfect way to control guns. Now if you do some digging you will see that The Freedom Group is

owned by a company called Cerberus Capital

Management. > >

Guess who controls Cerberus? GEORGE SOROS!

One of the most evil men on this planet who wants to restrict or ban all civilian guns.

Please pass this on to all your freedom

loving friends. This needs to come out. Why have we not heard about this

in the "mainstream" media? I would think this would be BIG

news. (Soros also owns Progressive Insurance). If you don't know who George Soros is,

you need to do some Research.

I'd never heard that Soros owned Progressive Insurance, although he and the owner Pete Lewis are pals ... or at least they were.

Seems the glue is coming undone with all the billionaire libs. Maybe they're tired of watching their money go down a rat hole? ... http://www.theblaze.com/stories/major-liberal-fundraiser-steps-down-from-soros-group/

With Lewis' pro-marijuana views, hereabouts his company is called Prograssive Insurance.

As to Remington looking to relocate, they're welcome to set up shop here in the Akron, Ohio area. We got plenty of space and factory buildings where the tire companies used to be, a gun-friendly state governor and legislature, and it would be a real easy commute to work for me. ;)

Not that I want to see anybody lose their jobs, but I wish that all gun companies that are located in anti-gun states would pick up their operations and move to more friendly confines. Why should the governments of these states benefit from the tax revenue of the companies that they are trying to shut down???

AHH, but as any poker player knows, in a hotly contested game, your hand is going to get called sooner rather than later. I see no great movement by the population of New York towards any meaningful political change so my guess is that Remington better start property shopping yesterday or be prepared to admit that it was a hollow bluff.

With over 75% of the voting public agreeing that the primary issue in the country is jobs and the economy, I'm not so sure that it is a hollow bluff. Not many politicians can afford to raise against those odds....if the economy improves, you're probably right.
