In the old days the airlines had Stewardesses.  Then Flight Attendents.  Just got off a plane and they had Safety Specialists.

That’s a new one. I hadn’t encountered “Safety Specialists”.

That was on a Delta flight from Phoenix to Detroit this morning.

Flying into Detroit the term "Safety Specialist" is very appropriate.

Depends on the airplane manufacture. They probably get hazard pay on Boeing flights, hence the Safety Specialist moniker.
