Heard it a couple of days ago. Meh.

IMO, a shameless, no doubt successful and PT Barnum type, money grab.

It’s not bad. I doubt that it would be a huge hit if it weren’t The Beatles.

On the other hand, that McCartney and Starr took the time and the initiative to complete the song that had been in the can in demo form for years is commendable. Getting Harrison’s track/tracks edited in and putting in the work to arrange, produce, and master it makes it a piece to be sought after.

And now their first hit!

I always liked Manfred Mann's version better, not to take anything away from Springsteen.

Manfred Mann covered a lot of Springsteen.

Yep.

Many, many other musicians also covered Springsteen.

Springsteen and Dylan are probably some of the most covered musicians in the world.

Woke up this morning with this song rattling around in my head.

John Prine wrote and recorded it first, but I think he thought of it as Bonnie’s song!

Here's a real blast from the past! I must have played this a million times in different bands. This is the original from 1959

Keeping with the "money" theme. I hated disco but always kinda liked Donna Summer

Were you trying for this one to keep in the "money" motif?

I’m a child of the late sixties and early seventies!

There was a place about an hour north of where I spent my teenage years called Paulines.

This song and that place are permanently etched into my memory!

Again, Blood Sweat and Tears…

There is a piece by JS Bach that was interpreted by NRBQ, Capriccio, that I've been trying to get a recording of.  I'm not able to find one but if you do, you'll really enjoy it.  It's on their "Tapdancin' Bats" album from 1983.
