No. My mama kept one of those Bolo-bat paddles (you know, the ones that had a little red rubber ball on an elastic stapled to it) in the kitchen window & everybody who came into the yard knew she would apply as needed & everybody - kids, their parents - was ok with that. That's what I mean when I say I miss the America I grew up in.
Eyesa Horg Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 My parents were more into the belt! But we generally didn't pull the same stunt twice! And God help us if the school called or sent a note home. Ya couldn't just chuck the note as the school expected it signed and returned.
