I'm not an entomologist and I don't play one on TV, but I think that's a Parasitic Wasp.

They are one of the good guys.

We used to park the cars outside, in Northern Alberta, when the temperature would hit -40 or colder.

The block heater to keep the crankcase oil and the antifreeze in the radiator sorta liquid. That  and a trickle charger to keep the battery charged and from freezing was usually enough to make the car start in the mornings.

Mind you, the bias-ply tires took a few miles to thaw out and become round again!

(Picture one only side of the tire flat!)

Great country!

Back when I first started driving, cheap tires were made of nylon. Not rayon, and certainly not steel belted - that hadn't been invented yet.

These nylon tires - it didn't matter how cold it was. This is Florida. It doesn't get cold. But in the morning, when you'd first start off, you had four flat tires. Flop flop flop flop, until they warmed up enough that they became round once again.
