Forty Rod SASS 3935
We had those when I was in High School and College ROTC: M-1 rifle, M-1 / M-2 carbine, BAR, 1911, and a 1919A1 Browning machine guns, all made out of wood IIRC, and painted to make it easier to see the parts in action. Each one had two versions, one full scale and one a cut away model. I would have sold everything I owned for one of them and when I got home from 'Nam they were gone and no one could tell me what had happened to them. I'd still get one in a Heartbeat if they were even close to being priced right. I'd give even more for an M-1A1 Tommygun, but I don't know if one was made. Utah Bob #35998
Hell of a drill team. Years ago almost any surplus store worth it’s salt had a training weapon hanging from the ceiling. Just a novelty item back then. Now they go for big bucks to collectors.
