1867  US buys Alaska from Russia for $7,200,000 (2 cents an acre - Seward's Folly). Thus was the only part of the United States acquired that has Eskimos and no wood ticks!

Manufactured goods

No big attitude...

I understand that one of those 'skeeters' landed at Elmendorf AFB, and they filled it full of JP-5 before they realized it wasn't an F-15! :lol:

I was first assigned there in 68 at Eielson AFB, North of Fairbanks    Fairbanks was wide open; lots of open carry and you stayed out of Eskimo Bars.
