Howdy,

Back when the internet got started at work we were warned about wasting time

and in particular chain letters. We were told that forwarding them would get us

fired. This smacks of the chain letter and sure it works for ONE charity but how many

more are going to jump on the wagon?

Careful what you start.

I'll make a donation but call me a curmudgeon if you want. We are in a severe drought out here and to waste water like that just rubs me the wrong way. I'm facing stiff fines if they catch me washing my car, or see water spraying on the street from an errant sprinkler. I'll pass on the water wasting.

Right now we are under a flood warning, with two more days of rain to come

Well, I have ALS. Had it since sometime in 2006, shot CAS until last Nov. it affects people in different ways, me it's slow. I can still get around mostly. IDO appreciate what people are doing, but living in California I wouldn't waste the water, other places maybe. Like most people ALS was pretty much unknown to me until I needed to know, other than Steven Hawking.

I did it earlier today and finally got the video up on facebook.

I can see not doing it where water is scarce. That isn't an issue with us. We've had plenty of rain this year, and plenty today. I got my drenching during a dry period.

Here is a video, which I mention in my own video. It sort of puts things into perspective:

MDJ, you sir are an inspiration and the reason I'm donating. I don't need an ice bucket dumped on me to break open the pocket book. I hope that the research into this terrible disease will shift into high gear and that soon there will be an answer and a cure. Keep up the fight MDJ, you are a good man.

I think it's a good thing too and it's fun to watch the videos.

The videos where things don't go as planned are better.

As long as no one gets hurt.
