Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Would you not love to have one of those rifles. Something about those old muzzleloaders. The belch fire and brimstone alright. A job to load one though.

Yellowhouse Sam # 25171
A skilled maker might turn out a dozen rifles a year and get 10-15 $each! You might be able to get a completely hand made rifle for 10 grand nowadays.

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
Williamsburg and Yorktown are places to visit. Don't forget to stop in and say hello to Nick, under the bridge.
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854
The gentleman that was featured in the film was a true craftsman. Started very young and retired about a decade ago after spending almost 40 years at Williamsburg as an artist there.
Rooster Ron Wayne
Wow I watched them all . Great to see a real GUNSMITH at his craft. At 100.00 per hour today and 300 hrs to make a gun . WOW this would be a 30,000 dollars . And we thought the new Henry 1860 was a expensive rifle at 2300.00 a rifle . Thanks for the post .

Burt Blade, #25657
I snagged a custom-built flintlock at a gunshop about 10 years ago. Neither they nor I knew what it was when I bought it. I took it to a BP shoot, and after a while fellow said "You are shooting that? Do you know what that is?" Not A $30K all-hand-made one, but I have had offers over 4x my original cost. Sweet shooter. The lock sparks like a power grinder.
