Utah Bob #35998 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Friday was a lovely day; warm, blue skies, with clouds wrapped around Ute Mountain. So I went down to Cortez to do a little bit of Christmas shopping. I avoided WalMart of course and stuck to a few local businesses. I ran across the massive Occupy Cortez demonstration. Thankfully the traffic was able to get through. Hard to drive when you're laughing so hard though.

Utah Bob #35998 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 DAMNED HIPPIES! I'll wager they once were.
Calamity Kris Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Very well done, SDJ. Thanks for sharing that.
Utah Bob #35998 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Alas, we rarely get any flash mobs down here in the 4 Corners area. Closest thing is the Ute and Navajo Dancers at the cultural center on Tuesday nights all summer.
Sergeant Smokepole #29248L Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Sure beats the Hare Krishna's of the 70's.....
Hacker, SASS #55963 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Seems a bit more like an "entertain denver airport" than an "occupy denver airport". They have a much better and clearer message than the occupiers.

Hacker, SASS #55963 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I was thinking more like the occupy in occupy wall street.
Utah Bob #35998 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I was thinking more like the occupy in occupy wall street. Note post #4. BTW there is an Occupy Denver crowd that has been going on for a couple of months. Not as much fun as the airport though,.
Subdeacon Joe Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 I was thinking more like the occupy in occupy wall street. Which is the impression I wanted to give people. Then hit them with something pleasant.
Red Gauntlet , SASS 60619 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I wuz just in that airport a couple weeks ago-- wish I'd been there for the dance! Great post.
Capt. James H. Callahan Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Cool! I'll be occupying the Denver airport for 58 minutes tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I can catch 'em. JHC
Three Foot Johnson Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 No nudity, no violence, no f this and f that, no blood, no shooting... how can that possibly be called entertainment in this day and age? That was pretty cool.
