WTB Gun Cart(s) - new to CAS family of four
Imis Twohofon,SASS # 46646 replied to B.K Payne's topic in SASS Wire Classifieds
If you have the equipment to do some woodwork you can adapt an oxy-acetylene cart. Relatively simple, inexpensive and robust enough for lots of guns. We have one at Wartrace that was donated after a shooter upgraded to a Rugged Gear cart, you could probably buy it from the club if you show up at the TN State Match May 30 - June1. Imis -

This year May 4th was Orthodox Holy Saturday. One of the Old Testament readings in the Vesperal Liturgy is that passage, and the accompanied hymn is "He Who Saved the Three Young Men."

I wonder what museum that's in? All of the trophies that TR shot on his African safari were preserved and set up in museums.

Heck, if I were an Aussie and that was my only choice to continue to shoot, I'd do it. Assuming the volunteer shot shell is a 12ga.: 20gr of powder in a Cowboy 12ga load is kinda hot, but not hot for a hunting load. From that I "assume" the powder used is nothing unusual. Shot shell powder is used a lot in light cowboy pistol and rifle loads. You already know the powder is a shotshell powder, it's not something like H110 or similar. If the volunteer powder is not a flake powder I would maybe do a little more investigation. Say a .38 load; we know 3gr of any noteworthy pistol or shotgun powder will work. I'd start with 1 gr of the unknown powder, I very much doubt it would cause any problem other than a squib. Then work up .5gr at a time from there to get a comfortable load. You said you had a chronograph so tracking velocity should not be a problem. Of course we all know what the first three letters in "assume" are. And we also know the famous last words; "Well shit, that didn't work."

What lessons did your Mom teach you?

"You work for Gulf Power?" Maybe 30 years back my older brother's children, who live in Texas, had come here to spend the summer with Grandma and Grandpa. My niece left the kitchen and was heading down the hallway to her bedroom and Mama hollers from the living room. "Get back out here and turn that light off! You work for Gulf Power?" And the girl walks out in the living room and says, "Grandma, Daddy says that all the time. What's Gulf Power?" -
