  2. Robin Ventura choose not to be interviewed for the documentary
  3. That seems odd as I earned my Eagle in 1972 and both the presentation box and certificate say "Boy Scouts of America". Proudly wore my merit badges on a sash, Order of the Arrow over my shoulder and somewhere still have my hat, not a beret. Regards Gateway Kid
  4. The dishwasher, stove and refrigerator are all connected to wifi. Totally worthless feature but fun to play with.
  5. Son Chris and I were shooting the Ruger Old Army Sunday. Monday morning I set out to clean it. Rounding up stuff, I got a CVA or something nipple wrench out. Wouldn't fit the Treso nipples. More accurate, it was too fat to fit down in the hole cut for the nipples. I thought I had another and looked for it. I had to have had one that worked because I changed out the stock nipples and I've shot the gun on several occasions. Oh well, Chris wanted some stuff from Grafs. The only one in stock was the $25 Slixpring model. Got it. Really nice made tool but pricey. Got home and back at cleaning the ROA and looking for cleaning rod, brush, Thompson Bore Butter, etc, and there it was, my homemade nipple wrench. I gave the new one to Chris. It seems to happen over and over - loose something, buy another, then find what I lost.
  6. Yeah, Deadeye Dallas was the guy who figured out all the stuff that needed to be reworked to make the Taurus function well. It was quite a list. Obviously Lassiter can do it since he won some big matches with a Thunderbolt.
  7. Health care costs mostly come down to whether you are healthy or not and vary widely from person to person. As for higher ed, millennials were pretty much told their entire childhood that they had better go to college or they will never amount to anything and then the government swept in with easy to get student loans. Now a bunch of them have a monthly student loan payment that is higher than mortgages. But honestly I don't think this is the main issue with attracting young people. As a millennial myself I grew up playing video games and thought they were expensive. Looking back I think about how much time I wasted doing that. But also looking at all my hobbies I have now like shooting and camping and working on vehicles I am "wasting" just as much time and man are they a hell of a lot more expensive than video games. I think there are just too many other forms of entertainment out there and particularly ones that are much more affordable than shooting sports and several other outdoor activities.
  8. And, if the Stage instructions were to read sweep the targets in a 3,2,4,1,5 sweep, would your erstwhile shooter, making the determination that target 3 was the 1st target on the left, with 2 the next target to the right, followed by 4, 1 & 5, as long as he was consistent, be following the stage instructions? To me, that seems like anarchy.
  9. Was that a national change or your local council? It was Boy Scouts of America here until about 5 years ago when it became Scouts BSA. NESA sent out an email this morning that they will not be changing their name.
  10. I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there.
  11. Health care and higher education are to blame for not having as much discretionary income? Really? I haven't had health insurance for years now and never had an "higher" education other than working in the electrical trade for 40+ years...yet somehow health care costs and "higher" education has affected my discretionary income? I was born during the day, wasn't yesterday though and I have two good eyes that can tell the difference between bs and overtly obvious truth. Keep telling yourself that, you evidently believe it.

  13. I hated pedants. My favorite, by which I mean most hated, was Mr. York.
  14. I will take the tan one, please pm payment name and address.
  15. I prefer the express check out for small purchases!! OH!! THAT’S RIGHT!! They don’t have them anymore!! SO!! I wait until I have a big shopping list and then I make one trip do the equivalent of three or four!! I refuse to use the self checkout because I generally by alcohol, ammunition, and prescription drugs when I go to the store!! I repeatedly tell the manager drones that they are getting robbed blind at the self checkouts. Whether they are or not, it gives them the idea that they should have more clerks and open checkout lanes that are manned!! I’m not just paying for the products! I’m paying for SERVICE and expect to get what I am paying for!!
  16. Real incomes have been stagnant for about 50 years now for most of the population, but the price of health care and higher education have eaten into what would otherwise be that discretionary income, so even if all of those facts were correct, younger people have less income, in real terms, to dedicate to things like this than they would have say in 1980.
  17. KingSnake, if it still available, I will take it. PM me how you desire the payment and I will send you my info. Cheers, Oklahoma Dee
  18. I was going to say you have a 50/50 chance of being right. But these days with all the alphabet genders it's more like 1 in 10!
