Our club match on first Saturday is traditionally an opportunity to test out new ideas. The shooters are receptive to trying different scenarios. Some don't always work as well as hoped, but everyone shoots the same match..... We like the Star, but can only really enjoy it when the weather is moderate. Resetting the plates when they get too hot to handle is no fun. Derrial Book suggested the star as middle target in a 3 element continuous Nevada sweep. It worked great! Shotgun is shot first at 4 knockdowns. Move to left to rifle position. Begin on either end with rifle. Restage long guns safely for downrange movement and advance approximately half the distance (a log marked pistol shooting position) and continue with pistols. If star is cleaned, alternate on the 2 end targets. This gave a little more time for star to generate movement. Everyone cleaned it, and no cries of "Get a rope!" were heard.

Does the Ides of March count? My DIL's birthday is sandwiched between Christmas and New Years Day. I send her something on My birthday every year so she doesn't get left out. Knew a pair of identical twin girls who were born on December 24 and 25th about 35 minutes apart. Caused some confusion amongst a few bureaucratic idiots around our little town.

I was that guy in the picture. I remember one test the tech said to me over the headphones “The test hasn’t started yet. Why are you pushing the button?” I had tinnitus even back when I was 18 years old.

That picture reminds me so much of Sally Ringo. Except for the fact that Sally was a beagle. One year she had 11 pups. Only had eight faucets. Which meant that we got to feed three of them with a doll baby bottle. That's fun. And several times when it was getting close to the age of weaning, I would see her sitting up with that same look on her face and all 11 of them scrambling under her belly, fighting their way to breakfast.

Back in the old days, a bunch of us left the ship to get our annual hearing test. 'Course since it was held in the building next to the enlisted club we just stopped in to have a liquid lunch. Failed the hearing test, had to go back for another try. The good old days! BS
